We are working with the Eyecare/Eyewear division of one of the Gulf's premier luxury retailers to recruit a Vice President of Vision care in Dubai. With a legacy of more than 30 years in the Gulf region, the firm is top of the mind recall for customers when it comes to luxury.

What the role involves
Vision Care and Eye health:
* Lead so that the company is recognised as leaders in optometry service provision in Dubai
* Build strong association and collaborations with optical brand owners as also within medical field across the vision care domain
* Identify and implement customer centric innovations in dispensing and retention of optical services to customers
* Assist in creating/rolling out a second chain of retail stores, with an absolute new identity, with optical services coming thru as the dominant feature
External stakeholders and associates:
* Build relationships with external associations and partners. Plan and implement short and medium terms associations with these partners to highlight the company's presence as also accrue footfalls/business from such partnerships.
* Drive collaboration with all major insurance companies to secure share of Optical insurance business as also extend affinity benefits to non-optical health insurance policy holders to extend scope and revenue generation from such tie ups.
Strategic:
* Gain in-depth understanding of each market and trends in eyewear/vision care on an ongoing basis to re-direct and re-calibrate business approach in Dubai and the GCC
Vendor Management
* Working with the VIce President Commercial to Negotiate best possible commercial terms with all suppliers, vendors
* Interface and engage with vendor teams to devise periodic consumer promotions
* Ensure the company secures an early start of new product and technical introductions by the brands
* Prospect/propose new brands/alliances which are commercially more beneficial for the company
Training & Development:
* Develop detailed processes/guidelines for Optometrists to ensure consistent service standards.
* Structure and implement structured Optometry training, including tutorials and participation in in relevant courses
* Implement for the Optometrists team, continuing professional education and development to ensure competence and in pace with industry advancements/tie-ups.
* Ensure consistent high rating is secured in Mystery shopping exercises and from customer feedbacks.
* Plan and organise periodic Optometrist meetings, to present topical subjects as review of team performance
What you'll need to succeed:
* You will have considerable experience at leadership level in the eye care industry
* You will have a strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance issues relating to optometry
* You will have a strong executive presence and will be comfortable dealing with senior Group management
