Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CEO to lead and manage the operations of our K-12 edtech business in Middle East. The CEO will be responsible for driving growth, overseeing operations, ensuring educational excellence, and establishing our brand as a leader in the local market. This role requires deep expertise in managing online and physical education centers, coupled with a strong understanding of technology and education in the K-12 sector. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader capable of scaling operations while maintaining the highest standards of educational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

● P&L Management & Financial Oversight: Drive strong financial performance for Middle East, managing cash flows, identifying low RoI areas, and ensuring the business operates efficiently with a focus on profitability and growth.

● Growth Strategy & Hubs opening: Lead the scale-up of online and opening of offline retail hubs in Middle East, leveraging experience in both EdTech and retail to provide the team with a strong head start in expanding operations.

● Consulting & Problem-Solving: Work closely with the founder and executive leadership in a top-down, problem-solving mode, progressing block-wise to address business challenges. Ensure structured and well-thought-out responses to the Board and CEO.

● Market Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the Middle East education market, including key marketing channels and cultural nuances, to drive the business forward.

● Customer & Student Focus: Prioritize exceptional customer experience and student outcomes, aligning these with overall financial success.

● Team Leadership & Integration: Own and lead a legacy team, ensuring smooth integration and minimizing disruption. Build and strengthen the team by driving logical and strategic hiring practices.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless collaboration across all departments, including marketing, operations, product, and finance, to drive operational efficiency and strategic alignment.

● Financial Planning & Reporting: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to investors and the Board of Directors, ensuring transparent financial management.

● Cultural Sensitivity & People Management: Lead with a deep understanding of multicultural dynamics, fostering team collaboration and cohesion. Build a strong team culture and foster loyalty and engagement.

Key Qualifications:

● Proven leadership experience in the EdTech and retail sectors, with a focus on scaling operations and managing P&L.

● Strong consulting background, with the ability to work closely with the founder and leadership team to solve business problems systematically.

● In-depth financial acumen, including managing cash flows, identifying low RoI areas, and driving strong financial performance.

● Experience in managing and integrating legacy teams, with strong people management and team-building skills.

● Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

● Flexibility to travel internationally as needed.
